The tragedy of Chernobyl continues to be the spitting image of nuclear terror. The explosion in central Ukraine in 1986 unevenly contaminated the surrounding territory, but the wind and weather made Belarus received about 60% of the radiation. Atomic Man, 1945

During the decade of the '40s and '50s the atomic era "magic" that could provide human beings amazing skills unimaginable. Buck Rogers Atomic Disintegrator, 1938

During the second third of the twentieth century, and for any child, the word "atomic" incorporated into a gun or a robot of the future was synonymous with power and almost unlimited power.
